Summer Camp Programs 2025

BOYS BASKETBALL
The Boys Basketball Summer Camp is led by the St. Edward men’s coaching staff, along with alumni and former players. Each participant will receive a camp shirt. Dates for the varsity ISU Team Camp and U-High events are still to be determined, with travel provided for trips to Hope Academy and ISU. All other travel arrangements are the responsibility of the athletes and their families. Players should arrive 15 minutes prior to camp sessions and 30 minutes before games. GIRLS BASKETBALL
The Girls Basketball Summer Camp offers an opportunity for participants to develop essential skills and techniques for grade school and high school basketball. The camp will take place in the School's Main Gym, and all attendees should bring basketball shoes and a water bottle. Each participant will receive a camp t-shirt. CROSS COUNTRY (Coed)
The Coed Cross Country Summer Camp is open to all student-athletes entering grades 6–12 who are interested in cross country or simply looking to get in shape. Group practices will be held on Mondays at Burnidge Forest Preserve, Tuesdays at the Bird Sanctuary, and Thursdays on the bike path trail. A weekly training plan will also be provided for students to complete independently or with peers. Participants should bring their own water bottles and a good pair of running shoes. FOOTBALL
The Football Summer Camp is designed to help junior high and high school students prepare for the upcoming fall season. The camp will be held at St. Edward Greg True Field and is open to all students interested in playing football. Required equipment includes football cleats, a mouthpiece, and athletic clothing, with football gloves being optional. Payment is due the first day of camp. GIRLS GOLF
The Girls Golf Summer Camp is led by St. Edward Varsity Golf Coach Paul Netzel and takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout June and July. Tuesdays are focused on driving range sessions at The Highlands, emphasizing grip and swing techniques for all clubs. Thursdays feature 9-hole rounds at local courses, with a focus on course etiquette, club selection, golf rules, and scoring. Campers will meet at St. Edward High School and be transported to each location via the St. Edward mini-bus. The camp fee covers Tuesday range balls, while green fees are the responsibility of each golfer. Participants must bring their own clubs, bag, golf shoes, tees, and balls. SOCCER (Coed)
The St. Edward Coed Soccer Summer Camp is perfect for athletes entering 7th grade through seniors who want to learn new skills and take their game to the next level. Held July 28–August 1 from 8–10 a.m. at Gregg True Field, the camp offers a mix of fun, challenging drills focused on both fundamental and advanced soccer skills. Led by St. Edward varsity coaches, alumni, college players, and guest coaches, athletes will get high-quality training in a supportive environment. The cost is $100 for the week (includes a t-shirt), or $20 per day for those attending part-time. SOFTBALL
Join the St. Edward Green Wave Softball Camp for a fun and skill-building experience on the St. Ed Football Field! Campers will receive instruction in fielding, throwing, batting, base running, sliding, and basic pitching. Each day ends with a fun, competitive game where athletes can win small prizes and blue ribbons. A camp t-shirt and daily drinks during breaks are included in the fee, which is due on the first day. GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
Join us for the youth (5th-8th grade) Volleyball Summer Camp at the St. Edward main gym, designed for both beginners and current players looking to learn and improve their skills in a fun and supportive environment. Athletes will be taught basic to advanced volleyball techniques and drills with guidance from current players and alumni. Campers should wear a green t-shirt on the first day, along with shorts, gym shoes, and optional knee pads. A camp t-shirt is included, and families receive a $10 sibling discount. The Volleyball Summer Camp at St. Edward is designed for high school girls from any school who want to improve their game, build confidence, and prepare for tryouts. Athletes will learn new and advanced skills through fast-paced drills and game-like situations, with additional training from guest alumni players. Campers should wear a green t-shirt on day one, along with shorts, gym shoes, and knee pads. A camp shirt is included, and those participating in both weeks receive a $20 discount. The fee also includes optional participation in the Top Flight summer league on Thursdays. Registration deadlines are July 14 for week 1 and July 21 for week 2, with a minimum of 10 athletes required—walk-ins are welcome. Payment by check is due on the first day of camp. WRESTLING
Join us for the Wrestling Summer Camp at St. Laurence gym (225 Jewett St., Elgin), open to students entering grades 6–12. This camp offers an introduction to wrestling and focuses on teaching basic skills in a supportive environment. Athletes should wear shorts, a t-shirt, and wrestling shoes if available.
