St. Edward students and staff sent a “Wave of Good” into our community today as we dedicated this day of service to our friends at Annunciation Catholic School in Minnesota.

On this Remembrance Day, we gathered as a school family in prayer and then moved our feet in service to others. The Wave worked with nine nonprofits in our community today! Thank you to each of the organizations that welcomed us, taught us, and shared with us the important work you do in our community.

Today at St. Edward, we gathered in prayer and solidarity with Annunciation Catholic School in Minnesota, where St. Edward alumnus Matt DeBoer (‘04) serves as principal.

As Thursday marks one year since the tragedy at Annunciation, we are answering Principal DeBoer’s call to honor the victims by spreading peace, light, and love through good works.

All St. Edward students and staff will volunteer at nine local nonprofit organizations Thursday as part of our Wave of Service Day.

During today’s assembly, students learned about the organizations they will serve and heard a special video message from Principal DeBoer.

We invite our entire St. Edward community to join us in creating this wave of good. This Thursday, find a way to serve, perform an act of kindness, help someone in need, and make an intentional effort to bring peace to every person you encounter.
