St. Edward is the central Catholic high school for the Elgin Deanery of schools, which includes seven Catholic elementary schools located in Elgin, Dundee, Hampshire, and St. Charles. The school is supported by the ten parishes of the Elgin Deanery. St. Edward is accredited by AdvancED, a member of the NCEA, and recognized by the Illinois State Board of Education.

  • MATHEMATICS POSITION – FULL TIME; GEOMETRY

St. Edward Central Catholic High School is currently seeking candidates for a full-time mathematics teacher for the 2021-22 school year. The position includes teaching Geometry andAlgebra II. 
Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in mathematics
  • Applicant must hold the Illinois Professional Educator License with the mathematics endorsement
  • Familiarity with 1:1 technology (SurfacePro laptop), Microsoft products preferred but not required
  • Salary will be based on Qualifications and experience.

      St. Edward Central Catholic High School seeks to hire a Technology Integration Specialist (TIS) who demonstrates a dynamic, hands-on interest in technology necessary to drive our school forward in all areas related to the integration and innovative use of technology within our school’s overall program.

      The specialist should demonstrate perspective as a teacher-leader with the comprehensive understanding of the vital role of technology in the learning process within all areas of the curriculum, communication, and in the overall lives of students, faculty, staff, and parents.
      Collaborate with the administration, department chairs, and faculty to strengthen and develop new curriculum strategies and effectively integrate technology into all subject area.
      Identify relevant resources to best support faculty and staff in establishing learning network and develop relationships with other technology leaders.
      Bring new and current trends and effective practices to the school to enhance the use of technology.
