1) Application

Applications to St. Edward High School will be available on the school’s website on January 15, 2016.


2) Placement Exam

To admit and correctly place students, St. Edward High School uses the High School Placement Exam (HSPT). The exam
will be administered at each of the Elgin Catholic area schools in October, and will be administered at St. Edward High
School on Saturday, January 9th for all other interested students. All incoming students are required to take the exam. To

3) Tuition and Fees

Tuition information may be reviewed by visiting the St. Edward High School website at www.stedhs.org. Families that are
registered and participating members of the Elgin Deanery churches will receive the In-Deanery tuition rates. (Deanery
parishes include the following: St. Catherine, St. Charles Borromeo, St. Laurence, St. Thomas More, St. Mary, St. Joseph,
St. Patrick, St. Monica, and St. John Neumann.) Tuition may be paid monthly, quarterly or yearly. Class fees are separate
from tuition, and are paid the second week of August on “Fee Payment Days.”

5) Need-Based Financial Assistance

Requests for need-based financial assistance may be submitted through the school’s website between January 1st and April
15th. Note: Requests for financial assistance will not be considered after April 15th.


6) Uniforms

Uniforms are to be purchased through Rumple Shirt Skin, at 110 West Willow Ave., Wheaton, IL. The St. Edward Parent
Connection maintains the Uniform Closet, which sells gently used uniforms on Fee Payment Days and monthly in the
cafeteria during lunchtime.


7) Athletic Participation

At the beginning of each sporting season (Fall, Winter and Spring) the Athletic Department holds a Sports Sign-Up Night.
Sports fees are paid online at the beginning of each season, and each athlete must provide a current physical.


8) Shadow Days

Shadow Days take place on Fridays October through April. To schedule a shadow day, please contact Mrs. Cholewa at
